Description of the workshop

The workshop is based on the idea that mindful dance and movement can be effective tools to support the process of internal integration of body and mind. Its main aim is to build a relationship with the body as a safe base - a place of embedding, contact and self-regulation.

Participants will be invited to explore new (and sometimes old, forgotten) pathways to self-regulation and well-being building. The process is based on strengthening the capacity for self-reflection and attentiveness to one's own inner states, as well as opening up to non-verbal messages coming from the body.

The movement practice will be the starting point for developing a dialogue with oneself - both in the context of the inner world and one's relationship with the environment. The workshop supports the building of psychological resilience (resilience), by developing contact with the body as a resource.

The methodological basis is practical and developmental tools inspired by dance and movement psychotherapy (Dance Movement Psychotherapy - DMP/DMT) and the Laban/Bartenieff Movement System).
